Who runs this site

DryCatFood.org is operated by CHT Save Pets Program, based in Bangladesh. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean CHT Save Pets Program. “You” means anyone using the site.

What this site provides

DryCatFood.org publishes general reference material about feeding cats dry food. That covers portions and calories, protein and other nutrients, label reading, life stages, common health needs, brands, and feeding supplies.

Most of it draws on veterinary schools, the FDA, AAFCO standards, and veterinary professional groups. Our editorial policy explains how each guide is researched and checked.

Coverage focuses on feeding cats in the United States.

What this site is not

The site is not veterinary advice. Nothing here creates a veterinarian and client relationship, and reading it doesn’t put a vet in charge of your cat.

It is not professional advice of any other kind either. It isn’t tailored to your cat’s weight, age, health, or medications.

It is not a substitute for your veterinarian. Your vet can examine your cat, run bloodwork, and track weight over time. For any decision that matters, ask them.

It is not a product label. The label on the bag in your hand, and anything your vet has written down, govern. Where they differ from us, they win.

Sick cats and emergencies

This site is not an emergency service, and nobody monitors it for urgent questions.

A cat that stops eating, strains in the litter box without passing urine, keeps vomiting, or struggles to breathe needs a veterinarian, and often the same day. Don’t wait on a web page, a search result, or an email to us.

Find your vet and your nearest emergency animal hospital before you need them. If you think your cat ate something toxic, call your vet or a pet poison control line right away.

Your decisions are yours

A food decision carries real costs, and a cat pays for the mistakes.

Overfeeding a calorie-dense food puts weight on a cat. Switching foods too fast can upset a cat’s stomach. An adult formula can leave a kitten short. A diagnosed condition fed without your vet’s plan can get worse.

You’re responsible for what you feed your own cat. Before acting on anything you read here, check it against the current label, your veterinarian, and the needs of your own cat.

We make a genuine effort to get the information right and to name its source. That effort doesn’t move the decision from you to us.

Prescription diets, medications, and supplements

We publish no doses anywhere on this site, and we don’t tell you which therapeutic diet or medication to give.

Prescription diets and many medications are dispensed through veterinarians. Some supplements interact with medications or conditions. Those choices belong to your vet, including how much and for how long.

Recalls and reformulations

Pet foods get recalled and reformulated, sometimes with little notice. We can’t promise a guide reflects a recall or a formula change the day it happens.

Before you buy or switch, check the FDA’s list of pet food recalls and the maker’s current label. If a food on our site has been recalled, tell us and we’ll update the guide.

Accuracy and updates

We check figures against their published sources before publishing, and we correct errors when we find them. Even so, we don’t guarantee the site is complete, accurate, or current.

Labels change, foods get reformulated, and feeding guidelines get revised. A page may still describe something as it was. If you spot an error, tell us at editor@drycatfood.org.

Permitted use

You may read the site, share links to it, and print or save pages for your own household use.

You may quote short passages with clear credit and a link back to the original page.

Content ownership

The text, tables, charts, calculator, and layout on this site belong to CHT Save Pets Program, unless a page says otherwise.

Material cited from veterinary schools, government agencies, and standards bodies belongs to those publishers, under their own terms. Product names, brand names, and logos belong to their owners.

Some pages carry affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through one. The price you pay stays the same.

Any purchase is between you and the retailer. Their terms govern it, including returns and warranties. Our affiliate disclosure explains how the links work.

We link to outside sites because they’re useful. We don’t control them, and we aren’t responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.

That includes illness, injury, or death of a pet, veterinary costs, the cost of food or products, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Some places don’t allow certain limits on liability. Where that applies, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms, and a claim against us results, you agree to cover the costs that claim causes us.

Availability

We aim to keep the site running, but we don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause, or remove any part of it without notice.

Nothing on this site should sit in the critical path of a health decision about your cat in any case.

Comments and submissions

If you leave a comment or send us material, you confirm it’s your own work and that it breaks no law.

You also give us permission to publish, edit, or remove it. We’ll remove a comment that gives dosing instructions, tells another reader how to treat a sick cat, or promotes a product.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the date at the top changes.

Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of Bangladesh.

If you live somewhere with consumer protections that can’t be overridden by agreement, those protections still apply to you.

If part of this is unenforceable

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
